Autograph Baseball Photos

Spot of color in a black and white photo?

Hi all i was wondering if anyone could give me very SPECIFIC directions on how to use paint.net. I want to have a black and white photo, with an object in the photo in color, can anyone tell me how to do this step for step?

well, first note, paint.net is a fairly good program, but average home users would not be loading networking in order to use some of these programs, and would use either photoshop or paint shop pro, or other freeware like gimp or photobie or art-weaver, tools which also use layers,

which is similar to paint.net,
...so, what you want to do is open copy of image,and adjust layer to black and white or sepia , virtually de-saturating colors from image,

then from original , select part to be colored with lasso tool, copy...

and then paste in new layer on black and white image, move and adjust, and save copy as jpg,
