Teixeira/Carmona for Markakis/Votto?
I want to offer this kid in my league this trade, but I wanted some opinions on it first if this is a good idea for me. I'm looking for a SP, hes looking for a 1B, I think hes getting disenfranchised with Teixeira, he has no other first baseman. What do you guys think of Markakis as a hitter? Are the Orioles gonna be this year's contender or just crap waiting to happen with a mediocre staff?

April is always a strange month. It's cold outside. Begin of the season, so they haven't had much really playing time before this. The fact that Teixeira is a second half of the season fantasy stud makes this trade well worth it. Trading for him after April is great idea as his value is low and now that it's going to warm up soon, he will probably do the same. He is an upgrade over Markakis and Carmona is an upgrade over a risky unknown Votto. It is a decent trade to make and I think someone could easily accept this trade. The only concern I have is for your outfield as with Markakis, it looks empty (is there no one on your waviers? Conor Jackson, I guess, is a fine UTIL with Ellsbury in OF so it's not too bad, but I'd like to do better than Conor Jackson.
