If you could have a beer with one player (living or dead), who would it be?
Pick a colorful character who you think would be an entertaining drinking companion. How do you think the conversation would go?
I think it'd be fun to toss a few back with Ty Cobb, because I hear he was a complete jerk. But I think Dizzy Dean would probably be more entertaining all around. And Kirby Puckett was incredibly charismatic, but I don't know if he was much of a drinker.
Satchel Paige- Man baseball talk aside (guy was prob. close to 60 when he retired), the guy could tell me stories about women in every state, best grub in the country & just some good ol' fashioned fun talking about the circuit he ran.
Living guys:
Albert "Joey" Bell- Just loved the way he went at it.
Roger Clemens- Ask why he gave us the Hulk Hogan crap of eat right, say your prayers & eat your vitamins when the guy was on the juice. Wouldn't bash him for taking it, but that fascade he promoted.
Barry Bonds- Want to see how he really is for myself. A lot of folks say his teammates liked him (on avg.) it was just the press that had issue with him.
